Brook of Hope currently has no water supply. We are working on a clean, filtered water system to provide safe drinking water for the children. Additionally, we plan to build a chicken coop to ensure a sustainable source of protein through fresh eggs. Your donations will directly help fund these critical projects.
Our Feeding Program in Kijabe town is a vital initiative within our ministry, operating as a distinct wing with a profound impact on the community. At present, we extend nourishment to 200-250 children at a local school in Kijabe, a commitment we’ve upheld since the program’s establishment in 2004. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continuation and expansion of this impactful initiative, making a tangible difference in the lives of these children and their community.
Brook of Hope Christian Academy was initially established with three classrooms, and with the school’s growth, three additional classrooms were recently completed. However, with enrollment increasing from 47 to 70 students, four more classrooms are now needed to provide adequate learning space. Donations for construction, furnishings, and educational materials are greatly appreciated to support this expansion.
The girls’ cottage has been completed with construction of a third cottage underway! With a touch of warmth and a sprinkle of joy, this sanctuary is more than just bricks; it’s a vibrant promise to empower young lives. In the spirit of giving, the Girls’ Cottage is not just a structure but a canvas for dreams, a splash of color on the palette dedicated to brightening the futures of those who need it most.
The new playground at Brook of Hope has brought joy and excitement to the children, creating a vibrant space for play and social interaction. Completed in 2024, the playground features slides, swings, climbing structures, and a colorful merry-go-round. U.S. volunteers came in May 2024 to put on a Vacation Bible School and helped plant and paint the tire boundary, which the kids loved! Two other teams will be heading back in May-June 2025.
Brook of Hope is now home to two dairy cows, providing fresh milk for the children and staff. Both cows have recently given birth to healthy calves, ensuring a sustainable milk supply for nutrition and dietary needs. This initiative not only improves the health of the children by offering a reliable source of dairy but also teaches valuable skills in animal care and farm management.
